Meet Our Team
Mr Robin Greenwood
Headmaster
Robin was born and brought up in South Africa, and moved to London in 1985 to study Piano at Trinity College of Music, now Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, making his ‘London debut’ with the Ravel Piano Concerto in 1989. By then he was teaching Pre-preparatory music part time, and went on to read Biological Sciences at Birkbeck College, University of London.
He has been working in the London Independent sector since then, teaching Music to younger children, and Science up to 13+ Common Entrance; in 1998 he became Deputy Head at Eaton House The Manor, and in January 2004 Robin started up Wetherby Preparatory School. For the last 9 years he has been Headmaster at Eaton House The Vale.
A lifelong love of learning, and of seeing others delight in developing their knowledge and skills, is what gets him of out bed early each weekday morning.
Robin still plays the piano, although he is very rusty, and enjoys gardening and reading in his spare time. Travelling in Europe and visiting his family back in South Africa are important holiday pursuits, and he has been known to dabble with woodwork if there is ever any spare time.
